The art exhibition “Multimedia – Multivisions” showcases the creation of 4 young contemporary artists whose works emphasizes on media, technique and their technological process in order to present the ideas, attitudes, and imaginations as well as feelings. Each artist shows individual uniqueness that result in the diverse concepts, objectives and stories. ช่วงเวลาสุดท้าย..ก่อนกลับบ้าน ^^

1. ฮัลโหล ฮัลโหล กี่โมงแล้วนี่ โอย

2.เมื่อคืนผมฝันถึงเลข 90 ผมกำลังแย่ง หรือกำลังพัวพันกับมัน มีร่างสาวหัวทรงกลมกลึงติดอยู่ด้วยกัน

3.เพื่อนโทรมาหาตั้งแต่บ่ายสาม ว่า ชวนไปดูคอนเสริ์ตไฟ บอกว่าให้ไปดูให้ได้ ผมได้ถ่ายรูปมาหนึ่งภาพ

4.วันนึงผมก็พบว่า ไม่มีเงินเหลือสักบาท ผมจึงไปสมัครงาน หวังว่าจะมีรายได้เข้ามา

5.นั่งคิดว่าจะทำอย่างไรกับชีวิต ถ้าไม่กินอะไรเลยผมคงตายในไม่ช้า

6.เช่ารถตุ๊กๆ ขับหารายได้

7.ฝันถึงโลก..........ที่นอนได้ตลอดทั้งปีทั้งชาติ นอนดูตัวอะไรลอยไปลอยมาทั้งวัน

8.รูปนี้..ถ่ายสมัยที่ทำงานยกกระสอบข้าวให้เฮียสุ่น แกโหดมาก "ทำงานให้เสร็จนะ ถ้าไม่เสร็จลื้อก็ไม่ต้องพัก"ใช้งานผมทั้งวันไม่ให้พัก จนกล้ามผมโตไปหมดทั้งตัว มีคนชวนผมไปแสดงหนังด้วย

9.ภาพนี้วาดอยู่ห้าวัน ต้องวาดตอนกลางคืน ตอนที่ชาวบ้านหลับกันหมดแล้ว

Two statues of female dolls (4.0m height)
Technique: Painted fibreglass

Concept : The dolls have symbolic meaning in that they represent lifelessness: they cannot speak or move by themselves. The only way they can “move” or “speak”, of course, is if they are manipulated by some human-directed mechanism.

Apart from this fact, the form of the dolls is also important. The image that is assigned to a doll is something that is deliberately orchestrated: it is an emotional artifice created in order to manipulate observers’ feelings, and their conceptions of the doll’s imaginary life and meaning.
The toy industry which produces dolls dictates and assigns a doll’s form: it gives psychological meaning to a doll in order to sway consumers to purchase it. Different dolls are deliberately produced for particular purposes and/or for particular markets, for example, for children or for adults.
Humans are living creatures that have totally different properties from dolls. But the value of an individual human life can be reduced to that of a doll when people form a group or mass in large crowds; when they stand in line at school or in an auditorium; or when they choose to follow orders – for example, soldiers or police standing in armed formation.
1914 & 1939:
I designed and created both dolls for the purposes of art…
…to question the meaning of what it is to be human: we are still relatively new arrivals in this world, and are under the influences of war, capitalism, authoritarianism and the mass media.
I tried to make the figures of the dolls assume an adolescent form, but pliant, favoured, and dressed in uniform. Observers may wonder which planet these two dolls are from; what the purpose of their existence is; or what organisation they are associated with, and what tasks they have been assigned within it.
The dolls’ names, 1914 and 1939, refer to the start of the First World War (1914-1918) and the Second World War (1939-1945), respectively.

At somewhere ,icy cold,motionless ,deep silence and no sign of movement.

But thought and feeling seem to scatter and mingling in unrecognised shapes.

This place is so unlievable?

This piece of work,is traced back to what we see through the Diary where it shows words,

pictures, writings with ink marks and pencil stains drawing all over.

But if look closely, we can see the pictures and thoughts reflecting very clearly indeed.

Concept: A female model " Dollar" is created to represent humans in this world. We need to prepare for and adapt to all kinds of unpredictable changes e.g. economic, political, technological, environmental, etc. The Dollar girl has a creamy- white color and is dressed in uniform with an alien figure in large scale. Dollar is placed in a chaotic area where a lot of people move and walk around. But, she sits still and looks like she is staring at something. I intend make Dollar look tense (stressed, not relaxed) and not lively to contrast with the environment around her during the day and resemble loneliness in the nighttime.

The name "Dollar" refers to the basic unit of currency in the United States, which makes up 5 percent of the world population but controls 25 percent of the world economy and has become the most powerful nation in the world. Thus, The United States effects the rest of us in the world economically, military and politically.

HAPPYLAND

This is a story that attempts to reflect on the meaning of space and human beings invarious angles.Thirty-nine years seems a long time, but I somehow feel my youthhas just brush past me by like a stranger in the crowd. My life, my days still move onslowly…slowly…..slowly…….These days, I constantly dream of a distant place…..a place I long to be, a place that envelopes me while I happily absorb the wideopen space that surrounds me. “Happyland” is about the strong disapproval andoffensiveness that dwells quietly inside of me. It is about the need for self-expression. It is also about freedom from society’srules and the status quo of the real world we live in. It questions our existence and the space we occupy. That very space we express our innerself freely ----- does it truly exist?

Thaweesak Srithongdee was born in 1970 and graduated with a Master in Fine Art from Silapakorn University in 1996. His style echoes the influence of Surrealism and Pop Art. Thaweesak is a keen observer of people, their physical and mental characteristics. Using his imagination, in his work he goes on to ponder whether people's features are related to their behavior, culture, social standing and other aspects. As viewers react differently to various symbols, he expects his audience to see his works in a variety of ways, using different interpretations, based on personal experiences.

THAWEESAK SRITHONGDEE

Thaweesak has participated in several solo and group exhibitions abroad and in Thailand. He was awarded a residency at the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, Japan in 2005 and participated in the Fukuoka Triennale in the same year. He took part in the International Film Festival in Rotterdam 2008 in The Netherlands with a video comprising shots of iconic portraits. Recent works have also included mega size fiberglass sculptures of his characters.Museum collections holding his works include Singapore Art Museum and Fukuoka Asian Art Museum.

One is to emphasize on the human’s teenager period of time which is a time when they are searching for themselves. It is a time of freedom and to show more peaceful. The other is to convey the conflicts, racial differences, religions, and appearances that are the cause of wars and destructions. I think teenagers and wars are related.
